Greg Engel in The Examiner writes that F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone “has made no secret of the fact that he wants the sport back in America.” (And Russia, too.)
Ecclestone has again stated his intention to bring Formula One to New York as part of a 20 race schedule. During the Australian Grand Prix weekend several weeks ago Ecclestone said that he hoped to be racing near the city in 2012 at a circuit that would have the skyline as a backdrop.
I’ll believe that when I see it, Bernie. But Formula One cars on Park Avenue or FDR Drive would be really cool!
