Hamilton Dominates Hungarian GP Qualifying

Hamilton—Hungary 2012 qualifying

After being quickest in practice, Lewis Hamilton will start the 2012 Grand Prix of Hungary from the front row after bagging pole position in today’s knock-out qualifying session at the Hungaroring near Budapest. Hamilton took provisional pole position with his opening Q3 flying lap time of 1m 21.260s. He went even quicker with a brilliant final  lap of 1m 20.953s. That was enough to secure the McLaren driver the 22nd pole position of his F1 career — and the team’s 150th — by nearly one-half second over Lotus F1’s Roman Grosjean.
